Dragonfly Bookmark

I love this stamp from JessicaLynnOriginal and as soon as I saw you could make your own bookmarks, that's what I wanted to do with it.

Penguin Holiday Fun

I made this card using stamps and some paper I had laying around. I wanted to create the effect that the penguins were on snow, and did that by cutting the patterned paper. I also wanted the penguins to be mounted, and just improvised by wadding up a piece of paper and sticking them with Zots. I've since learned that there's foam for that sort of thing.

Happy Friday!

I have just started this new hobby and so far enjoying the challenge of it. It pushes me to try to have a creative thought...(very hard, I know...too much TV...)

Anyway... :)

My favorite stamps are JessicaLynnOriginal stamps, check out her site in my Links. What I like about them is that they are unlike anything I've seen and she draws them herself. She's also a local artist...local to where my burrow is, anyway. Support local entrepreneurs! Especially if they are women!

Soon I will have examples of cards and bookmarks I've created and hopefully there will be a progression as I learn new techniques. I hope you enjoy the journey with me.

Getting started...

...with stamping and card making! But first, a little fun.
