One of the sets available is the Herding Dogs Stamp Set.  I used the Welsh Corgi and Border Collie stamps in my cards.  What I love about this set is you get a variety of dogs to choose from!

My second card is with the Welsh Corgi and, except for him, I used the Direct to Paper technique.  I really like how this turned out.

Rock Lobster Brentwood

Trick or Treat! Happy Halloween!

What a great weekend to launch Brentwood Owl in a lobster costume! This set comes with lots of great stamps for invitations, thinking of you and other types of projects.

My card was made using vellum paper (can you tell I bought a whole pack, not just one sheet - LOL) as the water and having Rock Lobster Brentwood poking his head up from the waves. I love the effect that you get from stamping/coloring on both sides of the paper.

You can find this set and much more at!

It's Deer Season

We interrupt this marriage

That is one example of the deer-themed sentiments you'll get with the Love You Deer! Clear Stamp set from  This set is great for nature projects, holiday, baby, any season and, of course, hunting projects.

I stamped the deer head on vellum and used a corner cutter to create  the places to insert the vellum for the card below.  Then colored it in with Copic markers and adhered the sentiment with pattern paper and brads.

Hop on through the other designers to see the amazing things they've created with this set!  You won't be disappointed.

Leave a comment on Jessica's blog post and be entered to win this set!  See you next time!

Planner Stamps

This weekend the JessicaLynnOriginal design team is showing off what they created with the Calendar Planner Stamp Sets.  There are so many things you can use these images for!  I used a few from the Calendar Planner Stamp Set to create this bookmark.

I colored the rainbows and sun with Copics and added a decal that reads, "Sending happy thoughts to brighten your day!"  It would be great for a little pick-me-up gift.

For my other creation, I tried my hand at using it on a calendar page.

The "to do" list with the hearts is great, and I love the fact there's an image to track how much water you've drank.  It's great to use for keeping track of appointments or creating a diary of memories.

What would you use it for?

I am so excited to be a part of this hop with CardMaker Blog and!  Be sure to check out each designer and see what amazing work they did.

While you're there, leave a comment on each blog to be entered in a drawing for a $50 gift card to!  The card is good for anything in the store.

There also is a FREE digital stamp for this hop, visit to download it.

I made three cards for this hop using three different techniques.

This card used the splatter technique.  I took some inexpensive paint pots, dipped a toothbrush in the black and then splattered it on the paper.  I also tried to really go for a monochromatic look for this card.  The image and sentiment are both from the AKC Dog:  Old English Sheep Dog clear stamps from

Next up was a shaker card...

I've seen so many shaker cards and they all look fun, so I wanted to finally try making my own.  I tried to keep this card clean and simple, with a little bit of sparkle!  The stamp is from the Brentwood Owl collection at

Last is Happy Halloween!

This stamp image features the art of Jasmine Becket-Griffith, more of which can be found here.  I used the "mind the gap" technique and used a lot of designer mat stack paper to enhance the look of this card.  The pumpkins have glitter pen on their lantern parts and the bones of her wings have crackle accent applied to them.

Everything was colored with Copic markers.

Don't forget to comment on each blog to be eligible to win the $50 gift card to!  The complete blog list is below!

Working Dog Breed Stamps

To celebrate the launch of the Toy and Working Dog Breed stamps at, I made this card using Splitcoaststampers sketch challenge #534.  The dogs and phrase are from the Working breed set.

The dogs and sentiment are mounted on pads for a 3D effect and the green paper has some texture to it. I used Copic markers to do some shading to the dogs' fur.

What I love about these sets are that you can get several different breeds of dogs!

Cardz 4 Guys Challenge 53 - Birds

This is my entry for the Cardz for Guyz blog Challenge #53 - Birds.  Brentwood Owl is my favorite bird to use and this is a digi of him as Charlie Chaplin.  I tried to stick with a black & white feel and even went over his feathers with grey.  The card also uses Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge # 541.

Card Concept # 33

A friend sent me the Card Concept blog knowing I liked the colors pink and grey so I decided to do my first submission to one of these challenges.

The stamp is from JessicaLynnOriginal's Jasmine Becket-Griffith line of stamps and the sentiment is from the Happy Valentine's Day: I love You featuring Brentwood Owl also at JessicaLynnOriginal.

I had wanted to try to do white hair following some examples I've seen.  The black paper also incorporates a faint chevron design that goes with the original challenge inspiration.

Do Wombats Hibernate?

They don't...but looking at my blog archive, this one might!  It seems, aside from 2008, that I only like to post in odd numbered years!  I was leery of doing another "getting back into the swing of things" post, but here's hoping the third (or fourth) time is the charm!
